words that describe fountain pen us

I created a survey to see how people used fountain pens.
This is a "wordle" word map of the response from the
question: In one word, describe how using a fountain pen
makes you feel.
If you want to take the survey, please do!
Thank you to the fountain pen collectors club on Yahoo for
filling out the survey. You all are wonderful!

time to get serious...

before the tornado dreams start.

photo courtesy of The Wichita Eagle.

I always have tornado dreams when I am up against deadlines.  I have missed a deadline for a research paper this week, so I am scrambling to catch up and not drop anything else.  So I will be hunkered down writing this weekend.  Have a great weekend everyone!

red at night, sailor's delight.

Sunset from the patio.

After a muggy day yesterday with extremely scattered showers, it is a beautiful cool morning.  Looking forward to Mike arriving for the weekend.  I have a load of reading to do and a short paper, but it will be nice now that the weather is thinking about cooling down (if not actually getting out of triple digits).

good friends.

Sabine, Jeff and I at the fun tourist restaurant, Rustler's Rooste.

Sunday, Sabine and I got to see one of my oldest friends.  He is younger than me by quite a bit (you can thank me later, Jeff) and we grew up across the street from each other.  He is also Sabine's godfather.  We always have a great time laughing together and my cheeks ache the next day.

Jeff is a tour guide for a company that takes international tourists around the country.  We are lucky to be on one of his stops.  The European tourists eat the western theme stuff up!

Thanks for dinner and laughs, my friend.  See you in October!

grading, reading and a little cleaning.

I was hoping for an overcast day, but the rain from overnight has taken a break.  It is sunny and I am grading drafting projects.  I find it interesting that my handwriting sharpens up and gets so much better when I am teaching.  I have to set a good example!

Have a beautiful day, everyone!
